Call for Candidates | April 14th - May 17th, 2024
Jackson Oaks Association (JOA) Board of Directors is searching for candidates to fill a seat on the Architectural Review Committee, serving for a 2-year term.
The Architectural Review Committee is responsible for Architectural Reviews and consists of 3 members. The ARC operates on a majority rule basis and each member serves a 2-year term.
Eligibility
Candidates must be current JOA members and have been members for at least one (1) year.
Membership is conferred by:
ownership or co-ownership of a separate interest parcel in JOA, i.e. you own a property here
appointment by the governing authority of a legal entity that is not a natural person having ownership of separate interest parcel in JOA, i.e. a corporation that owns a property here named you as its representative for membership purposes
Candidates are disqualified (ineligible) if they:
Are delinquent in the payment of regular or special assessments, subject to validation, except if:
they have paid them under protest pursuant to California Civil Code §§ 5658
they have entered into a payment plan pursuant to California Civil Code §§ 5665
they have not been provided the opportunity to engage in internal dispute resolution pursuant to California Civil Code §§ 5900-5920
Have a past criminal conviction that would, if they were appointed, either prevent JOA from purchasing the fidelity bond coverage required by California Civil Code § 5806 or result in the termination of the JOA’s existing fidelity bond coverage
Candidates will not be disqualified for nonpayment of fines, fines renamed as assessments, collection charges, late charges, or costs levied by a third party.
